(Ritter's) book is based on Bruce Lee's concept that advised students to
absorb what is useful, disregard what is useless, and add what is specifically
your own.
It is not your usual drum book... So what is it? The subtitle says "
A self-improvement method for drummers."
I would call it
"An Inspirational self-improvement
method for drummers!"
"I use it
almost everyday (actually, I use it everyday!). I have re-focused
my
drumming completely based on the writings in your book! Pretty
amazing
huh?? I now focus on training, instead of practicing, much more
productive
and I am actually now really moving forward. It is not that I
wasn't
before, this is just more focused and I am really seeing results.
I have
focused heavily on the technique section, working with the mirror and my
practice pad, working on my stick lines. I am getting it! My
speed and
accuracy on all elements of the kit is better now than ever. I
rehearsed
last night with one of my rehearsal bands and several of the guys just
shook
their head and said that I was "On Fire"...!!! Very cool.
The
speed in my
singles and doubles is HOT now! So, this is all very cool.
